BRAINSPOTTING

Brainspotting is an advanced brain based form of psychotherapy, developed by David Grand, that can access parts of the brain that are hidden from our awareness. It is a powerful focused treatment method that connects current emotional and physical reactions to events that have happened in the past. It has been successful in helping people who suffer from trauma, anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD, chronic pain, performance anxiety, disturbing memories and or other emotional conditions   Brainspotting accesses parts of the brain that verbal interchange can never reach. Where you look effects how you feel. Shifting your eyes, changes what is happening in the brain.

During Brainspotting, the therapist, while fully attuned to the client, helps them position their eyes in a way that enables them to target the sources of negative emotions. The brainspot correlates to a safe place within the clients' brain and nervous system, and aids in keeping the client calm as they bring up difficult material without retraumatizing them.In the past these conditions were difficult and time consuming to treat. Brainspotting is a integrated break though therapy that can bring quick and lasting relief from most types of  emotional distress.
